Project managers should have a background in construction, architecture, engineering, business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis. Job Duties

  • Provide seasoned construction knowledge & leadership to decrease construction costs and expedite construction schedule
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of construction projects
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation


  • Report directly to the Director of Operations
  • Prepare and present job estimates, change orders, & detailed project schedules
  • Oversee & finalize the preparation & submittal of the following, to include but not limited to: client invoices, vendor invoices, punch-lists & close-outs, timecards
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Inspect and maintain safe and productive site conditions of all responsible projects
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Establish, manage the relationship with the client, third parties/vendors, and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Any other requests from the Director of Operations


  • Great educational background, preferably in the fields of construction, architecture, or engineering project managers
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the construction sector
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of permit facilitation, and construction safety

The Project Facilitator reports to the Site Superintendent(s) and assists office administrative staff to successfully complete construction projects. This is a challenging, yet rewarding role!

Job Essentials

  • Assisting with Design Build projects.

This position involves

  • Creating RFPs and managing RFIs related to projects.
  • Assisting with project scheduling.
  • Collecting timecards.
  • Assisting with client and management upates.
  • Taking job site pictures.
  • Compiling and maintaining interim project reports and minutes of meetings.
  • Assisting Superintendent to communicate relevant information to all team members, such as change in schedule dates, changes in the project’s requirements, unexpected hitches etc.
  • Assisting Superintendent to coordinate activities with vendors and suppliers and maintaining relationships with them.
  • Assisting Superintendent in various activities such as budget monitoring and in meetings with management.
  • Entering and creating invoices in SAGE 100 Construction Software
  • Basic administrative and clerical skills (typing; filing; organization)

Project Facilitator Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering students or graduates preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in an administrative role (experience in construction a plus).
  • CAD experience preferred.
  • Provide seasoned construction knowledge and leadership to decrease construction costs or expedite construction schedule
  • Layout, lead, and supervise Hare Construction crews through carpentry and trade work
  • Cost control and building knowledge
  • Keep construction costs within contract budget
  • Negotiate with subcontractors to align contract amounts with internal scope budget
  • Coordinate change orders and cost allowances throughout project to prevent loss on materials or labor
  • Confirm documented approval of finish selections prior to install or acquisition Schedule control
  • Update schedule weekly/bi-weekly and report to the Project Manager of any significant changes
  • Report any significant schedule extensions caused by change orders to Project manager
  • Complete all projects on time and in accordance to original project schedule and approved schedule extensions
  • Final punch-list is completed within approved schedule duration
  • Supervise subcontractors and self-perform workmanship confirming all construction requirements meet plans, specs, codes, and client/architect expectations (maintain zero call­backs due to lack of supervision or poor execution)
  • Client retention and acquisition; not to exceed one unresolved client complaint leading to permanent customer dissatisfaction or two valid client complaint whether resolution is achieved or not
  • Punctuality and availability; not to exceed more than two incidents of tardiness

In the Foreman capacity, you will be able to:

  • Communicate well, lead and plan.
  • Follow instructions from superintendents / project managers.
  • Do layouts.
  • Communicate with subcontractors as directed by superintendent/manager.
  • Report daily to superintendent/manager.
  • Display foresight to ensure workers know what duties are required now and in the future to keep the schedule moving.
  • Ensure that workers are working per the schedule.
  • Coordinate schedule with construction superintendent.
  • Ensure that safety precautions are implemented during construction.
  • Deal with any sort of problems with workers.
  • Ensure work is of a high quality in addition to meeting schedule deadlines.
  • Ensure rules of the employer are followed.
  • Ensure tools and equipment used in construction are used safely and that they are safely stored at end of work day.
  • Motivate workers to work with high efficiency, ensuring that the work is completed on time.
  • Collect and verify crew timecards.
  • Pick up supplies (if required).
  • Make materials lists.
  • Read drawings.

In the Carpenter capacity, you will be able to:

  • Follow instructions from superintendents / project managers.
  • Do layouts.
  • Communicate with subcontractors as directed by superintendent/manager.
  • Report daily to superintendent/manager.
  • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
  • Verify accuracy (true-ness) of structure using plumb bob and level.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
  • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware using carpenter’s hand and power tools.
  • Select and order lumber and other required materials.
  • Maintain timecards, records, document actions and present written progress reports.
  • Finish surfaces or woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings using paint, hand tools, and paneling.
  • Work with and/or remove hazardous material.
  • Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
  • Pick up supplies (if required).
  • Make materials lists.
  • Read drawings.
  • Willing to dig ditches or whatever is required.
  • Keep work area clean.

As a skilled Laborer you will be responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for the building of structures and buildings.  You need to be able to load materials, read plans and specifications, tend machines, mix and pour concrete, and assist carpenters, foremen and other construction site workers.
